Gruzija atsakās no iestāšanās sarunām ar ES
29.11.2024 Gruzija līdz 2028.gada beigām atsakās no iestāšanās sarunām ar Eiropas Savienību (ES), ceturtdien paziņojis premjerministrs Iraklijs Kabahidze."Mēs pieņēmām lēmumu līdz 2028.gada beigām neiekļaut darba kārtībā jautājumu par sarunu sākšanu ar Eiropas Savienību" Kabahidzes teikto citē televīzijas kanāls "Rustavi 2".
Premjers piebildis, ka Gruzija atsakoties no jebkādiem ES budžeta grāntiem. Viņš norādīja, ka 2028.gada beigas ir termiņš, līdz kuram Tbilisi būšot būšot no ekonomiskā viedokļa pietiekami sagatavota, lai uzsāktu iestāšanās sarunas ar ES ar mērķi tai pievienoties 2030.gadā.
Kabahidze arī uzsvēra, ka Gruzijas attiecības ar ES esot divpusējas un var būt vienīgi divpusējas.
"Mēs esam lepna un sevi cienoša nācija ar ilgu vēsturi, un tāpēc mums ir kategoriski nepieņemami uztvert integrāciju ES kā žēlastību, ko mums izrāda ES," paziņoja premjers.
Eiropas Parlaments (EP) ceturtdien ar 444 balsīm par, 72 pret, un 82 deputātiem atturoties, pieņēma rezolūciju, kurā nosodīja 26.oktobrī notikušās Gruzijas parlamenta vēlēšanas, jo tās nebija nedz brīvas, nedz godīgas.
Deputāti uzsvēra, ka tas ir vēl viens apliecinājums tam, ka Gruzija turpina atkāpties no demokrātijas, par ko pilnībā atbildīga ir valdošā partija "Gruzijas sapnis".
Gruzijas parlamenta vēlēšanās saskaņā ar oficiālajiem rezultātiem uzvarēja "Gruzijas sapnis", taču opozīcijas partijas un prezidente Salome Zurabišvili neatzīst vēlēšanu rezultātus, uzskatot tos par viltotiem.
Parlamenta vēlēšanas lielā mērā tika uzskatītas par rādītāju gruzīnu vēlmei pievienoties ES.
