Igaunijā ievēl prezidentu
03.10.2016Igaunijas parlaments šodien, 3.oktobrī, par jauno prezidenti ievēlēja bezpartejisko politikas pētījumu centra «Praxis» padomes priekšsēdētāju, bijušo Igaunijas pārstāvi Eiropas Revīzijas palātā Kersti Kaljulaidu.
Centrālā vēlēšanu komisija svētdien Kaljulaidu reģistrēja kā vienīgo prezidenta amata kandidāti balsojumam parlamentā.

Pieteikumu reģistrēt Kaljulaidas kandidatūruCVK bija iesnieguši 90 parlamenta deputāti. Šo pieteikumu neparakstīja tikai 11 deputāti - visi septiņi opozīcijā esošās Igaunijas
Konservatīvās tautas partijas (EKRE) deputāti, kā arī četri opozīcijā esošās Centra partijas deputāti.
Ievēlēšanai amatā bija nepieciešams vismaz 68 no 101 Igaunijas parlamenta deputāta atbalsts. Par Kaljulaidu nobalsoja 81 deputāts. Rīgikogu sēdē, kurā balsoja par nākamo Igaunijas valsts prezidentu, piedalījās 98 no 101 Igaunijas parlamenta deputāta.
Latvijas sabiedrisko mediju portāls LSM vēsta, ka 46 gadus vecā Kaljulaida ir dzimusi Tartu.
Turpat Tartu Universitātē pabeigusi Bioloģijas fakultāti, vēlāk arī aizstāvējusi maģistra grādu uzņēmējdarbības vadībā.
Tuvāk politikai viņa nokļuvusi pagājušā gadsimta 90. gadu beigās, kad kļuva par tā laika premjera Marta Lāra padomnieci ekonomikas jautājumos. Nedaudz vēlāk – 2002.gadā – Kaljulaidu iecēla par Igaunijas Valsts energokompānijas «Eesti Energia» Iru spēkstacijas vadītāju. Tolaik trīs gadus viņa bija arī konservatīvās partijas «Tēvzemes savienība» biedre, bet no tās izstājās 2004.gadā, kad Igaunija pievienojās Eiropas Savienībai.
Igaunijā prezidentu vēlē parlaments, kurā ir 101 deputāts, un ievēlēšanai kandidātam ir nepieciešams iegūt vismaz divas trešdaļas balsu. Ja neviens kandidāts nespēj iegūt nepieciešamo balsu vairākumu, tiek sasaukta elektoru kolēģija, kurā ir parlamenta deputāti un pašvaldību pārstāvji, un kurā kandidātam ievēlēšanai jāiegūst vairāk nekā puses kolēģijas locekļu balsis.
Kandidātu var izvirzīt 21 parlamenta deputāts vai 21 elektoru kolēģijas loceklis. Katrs deputāts vai kolēģijas loceklis ar savu parakstu drīkst atbalstīt tikai viena kandidāta izvirzīšanu.
